I’m Reketta, a Licensed professional counselor and BIPOC Perinatal Health consultant. I help small and midsize organizations rev up their equity and inclusion initiatives. We don’t stop at the lecture. I welcome the tough questions and I dish out equally as strong support. I believe our time to eradicate structural racism and discrimination is now.
I am a HAES advocate and a member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health. When I take the “S” off my chest I dive into self-care. I love globetrotting, swimming, and naps.
RSP Consulting, LLC is owned by Reketta Peterson, LPC, PMH-C. As a Black consumer and a private practice owner, she knows diversity doesn’t work. Empathy and collaboration are the key elements to an increase in customer and employee satisfaction. She also knows empathy and compassionate care practices can reduce the maternal healthcare disparities experienced by Black and Indigenous Women.

“I wanted to reach out and say thank you so very much for your presentation for the NAACP Racial Justice 101 series. You did an excellent job getting engagement via the chat and it was clear you are passionate and well versed about racism within the birthing world. I learned multiple new terms i.e. medical kidnapping and found myself smiling at many occasions for how unapologetically the information was presented. You are amazing, keep doing what you do” "I was afforded the opportunity to hear Reketta speak at the NAACP webinar. Reketta has extensive knowledge and was very helpful when answering questions during the webinar. I highly recommend Reketta for future speaking engagements."

"We asked Reketta Peterson to help us create a video on racial trauma in the perinatal period after recognizing that our training needed to reflect the voices of those impacted by the health disparities in the perinatal care system. Reketta was a perfect guest speaker, bringing a wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and personal reflection to our training. As a licensed mental health therapist she is able to bring her clinical knowledge and compassionate understanding of the experiences of others to the content she shares and she is not afraid to ask hard questions or push our program participants to think critically about their role maintaining or interrupting a system that is doing harm to BIPOC birth givers. We were so delighted by Reketta's contribution to our program that we contracted with her to provide affinity calls for our program participants of color, as well as attend mentorship calls for all participants, and create another training video for us. In discussions with Reketta about how she could support our work educating perinatal professionals about trauma-informed care and the needs of survivors in the perinatal period, she has provided us with ideas and inspiration for what we could do to make our program more responsive to the needs of our participants, and at the same time, she has been extremely thoughtful about making sure that what she brings to our program is aligned with our mission at Resilient Birth and fits seamlessly into our organization. Reketta brings to the table exactly what we need. Hers is a voice of advocacy, compassion, and hope.”

“It is my pleasure to recommend Reketta Peterson, LPC, PMH-C as a speaker and presenter. I am the chairperson of Postpartum Support International Alaska Chapter, and have known Reketta as a fellow PSI volunteer for two years. On Feb 28, 2022 , Reketta presented a one-hour webinar “Medical Racism in the Perinatal Population in AK” to 46 professionals across the state of Alaska. 93 individuals registered for this webinar and received a recording of her presentation, as well. We received excellent feedback on both the materials Reketta presented and her as a speaker. Reketta is a joy to work with; she is professional and knowledgeable.”
